Kittery Maine

I know I haven't posted for quite awhile, sorry about that. I have been recovering from surgery so I have been bored out of my mind at home for two months. I am on the mend so time for some day trips. Yesterday I went to Kittery Maine for lunch and a trip to the Kittery trading post. The trading post is a very large store with a vast assortment of merchandise. I went with two friends and we all purchased things for ourselves and a few Christmas presents. This store has a huge inventory of clothing at reasonable prices. One friend bought a fleece zipper up for only $18. I bought a couple of short sleeved shirts for $10. There are unique items like the smores fire log that one friend bought. one log that burns from within, no need to make a big fire.

We also bought some spices and hot sauce. There were so many different choices on both these items that we had a difficult time deciding.
After spending two hours in this store we then made our way to Warren's Lobster house for lunch. So good! It is worth the 2.5 hour drive just to go for lunch at this restaurant. This place is a seafood restaurant with an extensive salad bar. All the entrees include the unlimited salad bar.
Let's start with the salad bar. The menu states there are over 60 items at the salad bar and that is no exaggeration. I started with a cup of soup and pumpkin bread which are both part of the salad bar. Then had my quite large salad. Complete with 4 different types of lettuce to choose from then all the veggies you would expect. The coleslaw was tasty. (almost as good as mine) There were several other salads to try including potato, cucumber, carrot and raisin, and so many more. At the end of the salad bar there were a variety of fruits to choose from. I had lots of pineapple.
Next came the meals Two of us had fish and chips and the other friend had seafood casserole with crab topping. Each meal was $27 and the size of the meal was quite generous. I brought home half my meal.
so the next time you are in Kittery Maine, I highly recommend going to Warren's Lobster house for a delicious meal with a great view as the restaurant is located on the water.
