Planning Vacations
Since retiring, 5 years ago, I have a lot of fun traveling. I don't go far. Most of my destinations are places that I can drive. Recently I drove 5 hours to Lake Placid, NY and had a wonderful 3 days there. I get so excited when I start planning my vacations and boy am I a planner. I spend days on the computer searching for everything to do in the area I am visiting and check out lots of menus for the local restaurants. My next trip is to find the pumpkin people in NH. They are scattered throughout the towns of Jackson and North Conway. I made my reservation at The North Conway Grand Hotel. I have stayed there before and had a pleasant experience so I decided to stick with them instead of trying some place new. I like walking around downtown by the train station. Maybe I will take a train ride while I am there. Now it's time to check out the restaurant menus. I will definitely try some new restaurants while I am there. So my next post on this blog will be all about North Conway and Jackson, NH
In the near future I will have to start planning a trip to Vermont. I just have to decide what part of Vermont to visit and of course I will be planning another Disney trip next year. Those are the over night trips, but I also have lots of day trips planned starting with Chatham later this week to see the pumpkin displays in the park. I will post some pictures and tell you all about it this weekend. The pumpkins in the park is on display until the end of October if you want to check it out. Found at Kate Gould Park.
