Weekend at Hyannis Harbor Hotel

I love spending time on Cape Cod but sometimes it is just too crowded for me during the summer. I decided to take a long weekend in Hyannis before the busy season starts. I went Saturday May 2nd until Monday May 4th. I try to go every year but tis year I tried a new hotel. I stayed in Hyannis at The Hyannis Harbot Hotel.

The Hotel was so nice and the staff was wonderful. Check in was quick and easy. My room had a king bed and sleep sofa. The room was quite spacious.

Just outside the door was a balcony with a roof which was nice because there was some rain when I was there but I could sit outside and watch the ferries come and go at night.

There was a light rain Saturday when I arrived but I sat outside and enjoyed the view.

Sunday morning I started my day with a walk at West Dennis beach. This is a great location to walk before the summer crowds are here. After that I returned to the hotel and I went for a walk across the street where the ferries are and there is a small park. In this park you will find small colorful huts where local artists sell there crafts during the summer season. There is also a public restroom. The restrooms were open but not the artists huts.

Sunday afternoon the rain came again so I decided to use the indoor pool at the hotel and the hot tub. I had the place to myself and it was so relaxing. The pool area was very clean and stocked with lots of towels.

When the rain stopped I walked around the beautifully landscaped grounds. So many places to sit and relax. Or some lawn games were out for you to use.

Sunday night I sat by one of the individual firepits just outside the office. Made a cup of tea in the office/lobby, read my book and watched the ferries depart and arrive.

While down cape I ate at two of my favorite restaurants, The breakfast room and The Yarmouth House. I will review them in a seperate blog post.
My total for two nights was $334. If you plan to stay here I suggest you call the hotel to book and ask about any daily specials. Thats what I did  instead of booking online and having to pay $30 more.

I also visited the JFK memorial and Korean war memorial which is on the same street as the hotel. So pretty there as the memorials are located at the water. And of course, no cape cod trip is complete without a stop at Cuffy's I love that place.

The sand sculptures inside the store are quite the sight.

I hope you can take a fun trip to cape cod soon and enjoy it as much as I do
