Maine

My latest get away was 3 days in Maine. I stayed in Bridgton, Maine, which is a beautiful little town with plenty of shops. My favorite shop was Reny's. The sign says "A Maine experience" I was so happy with the prices in this store and there was a little bit of everything. There was one large section of clothing that had all sizes in dresses to jeans and a small show section. There was also a food section that had it all except meat. Then you go upstairs and there is an assortment of home décor, including essentials along with decoration.

Reny's was a large store but there were plenty of small gifts shops including a book store and  fudge shop. I had to buy myself a little fudge. In the center there was also a movie theater where "Top Gun- Maverick" was playing. I really like this little town.

I stayed at a friends house that is located on Moose Pond. In both the morning and evening I walked over to the docks and sat on the bench there to take in this beautiful view,

There was a small beach there as well with plenty of chairs to relax and a dock to swim out to.

Just a short 20 minute ride from Bridgton is the town of Naples. I spent time there enjoying the water views of all the boats and the sea planes taking off and landing. There is a public beach there as well but I did not go swimming there.

In between the two towns is an ice cream place called "The Gazebo" all I can say is "Delicious"! and I found out that the owner is from Massachusetts like me.

I spent one day driving around Maine to find this famous sign of Maine towns. You can travel the world in Maine.

while driving around I also stopped at screw auger falls in Grafton State Park. The water level was very low but I hiked a little and found a couple of water falls.

One thing that fascinates me is a covered bridge, so I went on the hunt to find a couple. The rivers below the bridges were so dried up. I really hope we get some rain soon.

while away I always make time to go out to eat. One of my favorite places was Definitive Brewery at Sunday River. Good food and drink and beautiful view of the ski mountain.

I will be heading back to Maine soon, but next time I will head to the east coast side....until then....
